A campaign to drive awareness and fund primary healthcare for children living in countries affected by crisis.
THE SITUATION
Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders) is an independent international medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, healthcare exclusion and natural or man-made disasters.
For their biggest annual campaign, our job was to demonstrate to MSF supporters and the public, that children in areas of crisis are struggling to survive, often from easily preventable causes. The trick is always to make sure audiences are not overwhelmed by the confronting content, but rather feel empowered that they can make an impact.
THE SOLUTION
Our solution ‘Invisible Need’ was inspired by the complexity of these conflict zones and the inherent need of children that exists within them. ‘Invisible Need’ breaks down into three separate narratives; whether it be ‘Invisible Need’, ’In Need’ or ‘Visible Need’. These children’s needs are clearly visible, whether it be violence, famine or terrorism that has ravaged them, but their stories go unseen. Each iteration is able to tell different parts of a bigger story. Across a three wave appeal and full digital integration, this project reveals the true faces of conflict that all too often go ignored.
